A new billet aluminum replacement rear clamp block for your Delta Unisaw fence. This is a replacement clamp block for the rear of the Delta Unisaw fence. The clamp block is the same for early style Delta Micro-set fences and the later version one-lever Delta Jet-lock fences. The original equipment die cast zinc clamp block located at the rear of the Unisaw fence is very much prone to breakage. The original clamp block is extremely weak at the center area where the slot is and will easily fracture if the fence is accidently dropped or bumped hard. One attached photo shows the very typical OEM fractured clamp blocks. Another problem with the OEM clamp block is that the tapped mounting holes in the thin die cast pot metal often strip out, making securing the block to the fence nearly impossible. This all new, well designed replacement clamp block is precision machined on CNC equipment from 6061 billet aluminum bar stock and will forever solve the problem of the rear fence clamp mechanism failure. Our clamp block kit, as shown disassembled in one of the photos, includes the new aluminum block, new J-hook, and everything necessary to replace the entire original clamp block assembly. One (1) CNC machined billet aluminum clamp block. One (1) black oxide plated carbon steel machined and formed J-hook. One (1) laser cut high strength 4130 chromoly alloy steel replacement cam. One (1) zinc plated music wire compression spring. One (1) ¼ diameter alloy steel dowel pin for the lever pivot. Two (2) 5/16 stainless steel mounting bolts to secure the block to the fence. Two (2) stainless flat washers for the above mounting bolts. Only the very early Delta Unisaw fences require that a minor modification be made to accommodate this new heavy duty billet aluminum clamp block. Two fence rails are shown in the one photo to illustrate the slight modification required. The one on the bottom has been modified by removing a short portion of the end of the tack welded gusset at the bottom side of the rail. This is easily accomplished by partially cutting across the web with a hacksaw or cut-off wheel and using pliers to bend, break, and remove the last 1.5 of the gusset material. Later Unisaw fences have clearance already provided in this area and accept our billet aluminum clamp block without modification.
